[the evil nerd]
there is absolutely no reason to hate people, when u can play a little game. So let´s talk about Valdina....
if err answers on strange mails, and requests a "confirmation of receipt" on OUTLOOK, mostly the clear e-mail adress will be unveiled.
this invites us to reply with funny pictures...
further on, we did rename some harmless files to look dangerous to them digital bums, and appended em´, while GMX e.g. sends unverified fake .vcf files, (a real FBI backdoor ?)
....one more game, perhaps ?
to finally scare off LAMERS and unimportant fake gangsters, u send them the really long MAIL DEMON response, and there will be RUHE, über allen Wipfeln.
do not do this at home.
rem: play with russian women on your own responsibility.

[another universe] [it´s just a dream, Flash] [a sign of their weakness]
now if this would be a dream on the planet Arboria, or another universe full of Hawkmen, a real interstellar FBI supporter would ask on the misused .ru mail group for informations.
greetings to Duane (the Dog) Chapman and the FBI.

I've had the same hotmail email address since 1997 or 98, hotmail is owned by microsoft, and yet some major websites now tell me I can't use it to verify an account at all. It's "not supported." That's not the way this is supposed to work you fuckfaces. Email is not supposed to have limited brand compatability. How fucking dare you make me log into a vile gmail account. I now personally hate you so much that I wish I was tech savvy enough to make spambots that use gmail accounts against you out of sheer spite.

ever wonder why spotify/discord/teams desktop apps kind of suck?
i don't do a lot of long form posts but. I realized that so many people aren't aware that a lot of the enshittification of using computers in the past decade or so has a lot to do with embedded webapps becoming so frequently used instead of creating native programs. and boy do i have some thoughts about this.
for those who are not blessed/cursed with computers knowledge Basically most (graphical) programs used to be native programs (ever since we started widely using a graphical interface instead of just a text-based terminal). these are apps that feel like when you open up the settings on your computer, and one of the factors that make windows and mac programs look different (bc they use a different design language!) this was the standard for a long long time - your emails were served to you in a special email application like thunderbird or outlook, your documents were processed in something like microsoft word (again. On your own computer!). same goes for calendars, calculators, spreadsheets, and a whole bunch more - crucially, your computer didn't depend on the internet to do basic things, but being connected to the web was very much an appreciated luxury!
that leads us to the eventual rise of webapps that we are all so painfully familiar with today - gmail dot com/outlook, google docs, google/microsoft calendar, and so on. as html/css/js technology grew beyond just displaying text images and such, it became clear that it could be a lot more convenient to just run programs on some server somewhere, and serve the front end on a web interface for anyone to use. this is really very convenient!!!! it Also means a huge concentration of power (notice how suddenly google is one company providing you the SERVICE) - you're renting instead of owning. which means google is your landlord - the services you use every day are first and foremost means of hitting the year over year profit quota. its a pretty sweet deal to have a free email account in exchange for ads! email accounts used to be paid (simply because the provider had to store your emails somewhere. which takes up storage space which is physical hard drives), but now the standard as of hotmail/yahoo/gmail is to just provide a free service and shove ads in as much as you need to.
webapps can do a lot of things, but they didn't immediately replace software like skype or code editors or music players - software that requires more heavy system interaction or snappy audio/visual responses. in 2013, the electron framework came out - a way of packaging up a bundle of html/css/js into a neat little crossplatform application that could be downloaded and run like any other native application. there were significant upsides to this - web developers could suddenly use their webapp skills to build desktop applications that ran on any computer as long as it could support chrome*! the first applications to be built on electron were the late code editor atom (rest in peace), but soon a whole lot of companies took note! some notable contemporary applications that use electron, or a similar webapp-embedded-in-a-little-chrome as a base are:
microsoft teams
notion
vscode
discord
spotify
anyone! who has paid even a little bit of attention to their computer - especially when using older/budget computers - know just how much having chrome open can slow down your computer (firefox as well to a lesser extent. because its just built better <3)
whenever you have one of these programs open on your computer, it's running in a one-tab chrome browser. there is a whole extra chrome open just to run your discord. if you have discord, spotify, and notion open all at once, along with chrome itself, that's four chromes. needless to say, this uses a LOT of resources to deliver applications that are often much less polished and less integrated with the rest of the operating system. it also means that if you have no internet connection, sometimes the apps straight up do not work, since much of them rely heavily on being connected to their servers, where the heavy lifting is done.
taking this idea to the very furthest is the concept of chromebooks - dinky little laptops that were created to only run a web browser and webapps - simply a vessel to access the google dot com mothership. they have gotten better at running offline android/linux applications, but often the $200 chromebooks that are bought in bulk have almost no processing power of their own - why would you even need it? you have everything you could possibly need in the warm embrace of google!
all in all the average person in the modern age, using computers in the mainstream way, owns very little of their means of computing.
i started this post as a rant about the electron/webapp framework because i think that it sucks and it displaces proper programs. and now ive swiveled into getting pissed off at software services which is in honestly the core issue. and i think things can be better!!!!!!!!!!! but to think about better computing culture one has to imagine living outside of capitalism.
i'm not the one to try to explain permacomputing specifically because there's already wonderful literature ^ but if anything here interested you, read this!!!!!!!!!! there is a beautiful world where computers live for decades and do less but do it well. and you just own it. come frolic with me Okay ? :]
*when i say chrome i technically mean chromium. but functionally it's same thing

Why is it so hard for us to donate?
I talked to @aya2mohammed on how to donate since I couldn't donate through GFM via Paypal. I'm not from America nor Europe. I wanted to donate too but it's just so friggin hard. He finally sent me his paypal hotmail so it can go through straight to his Paypal account. With little money I had to pay for big fee. If you're from either of the country I mention PLEASE DONATE. And I just hope there's an easier platform to help them.
I'll try contacting my friends who could donate him using his hotmail, it's too dangerous to share it here.

what do you think?
Anon's link is this Page Six story:
Archived Link
As Harry nears his 40th birthday on September 15 and the chances of seeing his family continue to appear remarkably slim, multiple sources said there is only one way he will consider a reconciliation with his father. "King Charles can give Harry the security clearance he wants so desperately. As the monarch, he is the ultimate decision maker. That would be how father and son can reconcile,” said one royal source.
Page Six is a Sussex mouthpiece. It's safe to assume that anything Page Six publishes citing a royal source is coming straight from Montecito and Meghan's hotmail directly.
It's also not new news. We know that Harry's demanded his full-time permanent RAVEC status back since April 2020. What is new is the escalation tactic - this new paranoid fantasy he has that some rando is going to walk up to his car and attack him, his wife, or his children - but only because his/their earlier escalation tactics/threats didn't work:
"you're racist and won't give my child a title" didn't work
"you conspired with the press to plant lies about me" didn't work
"you won't get to see my children" didn't work
"but my miscarriage" didn't work
the Oprah interview didn't work
"my mummy died like this" didn't work
"only I can protect my granny" didn't work
"aren't I your favorite grandson" didn't work
"our first family member of color" didn't work
"you're racist" round 2 didn't work
"but Pa you have cancer, don't you want to see your grandchildren before you die" didn't work
Also, the article says this of Harry:
He said that his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, was supportive of his fight. “We had many conversations before she passed, this is very much something she supported. She knew how much this meant to me,” he said. “She is up there going, ‘See this through to the end,’ without question.”
But it's 100% complete bunk. All the facts point towards Harry not having spoken privately with The late Queen since before Megxit. We know from the leaks that the Sussexes visited Windsor Castle in April 2022 to hash out their attendance at the Platinum Jubilee, but those accounts say that Harry didn't have a private audience with The Queen. We know from the leaks that the Sussexes did not have any audience or interaction with The Queen at the Platinum Jubilee. We know from the leaks that the Sussexes were invited to Balmoral for Summer 2022 but refused it.
These lawsuits do not have The late Queen's blessing. He knows it, we know it, and William knows it. But the average American and the average Brit that supports Harry or pays attention to him doesn't know that and still only sees him as Hero Harry, The Queen's Favorite Grandson According to Himself and Only Himself Because Only His Truth Matters. And that's the group of people Harry's appealing to because he thinks if enough of them support him, they'll speak out about it and their public pressure will force Charles and the tabloids to give Harry exactly what he wants.
Because that's been the Sussexes' MO from Day One: if they can't get what they want themselves, they'll use the power of PR and popularity (or "popularity") to force the BRF's hand.
It's what Harry tried to do with the Love Shield (use his popularity and Meghan's race card to fast track the approvals to marry).
It's what Meghan tried to do when she married in (use her popularity to take William's and Kate's patronages and presidencies and assert herself as #2 in the regal pecking order for succession).
It's what they tried to do with titles for their unborn children (use their popularity to force the BRF to upgrade their status so their children would be HRH Prince/Princess from birth).
It's what they tried to do with Megxit (use their popularity to force the BRF to modernize their approach to media relations).
It's what they tried to do with the Oprah interview (use the PR to villanize the BRF to get their children upgraded status).
It's what Harry tried to do at Philip and The Queen's funerals (use PR to reverse the decision prohibiting Harry from wearing his military uniform).
It's what Meghan tried to do when Harry wanted his military titles/honors back (use PR to shame the BRF into giving it back).
It's what they tried to do with Finding Freedom and Endgame (use PR to villanize the BRF and restore their popularity).
and the list goes on.
If it hasn't worked to date, it won't work in the future.

Careful with this style of scam because I think I met one. You see, on 13th December I received a DM of this user asking for a commission.
I asked what they had in mind because I didn't have commissions references or prices but since they dm me I thought "Maybe I can do an exception depending what they want". Their request was quite big (?): full body of their son's dog, coloured, rendered and background — also rendered.
I felt weirded out because they didn't follow me, had liked my art or posts before and when I checked their blog I found it was completely empty. No reblogs, no asks, nothing personal that indicated this blog followed or supported artists. With a generic looking username and pfp on top of it all.
First thought I had was "This reeks of scam". You know, the type of scam that asks you for a comm, saying they give you half of the payment first and the rest after you send the final result, but their bank account doesn't work and you have to send money. I decided to give them the benefit of doubt, although I stated I wouldn't start anything until they paid beforehand the whole payment since that's one of the conditions I would put to anyone asking for a drawing.
I offered to make the whole thing for around 25-50$ and they said they were willing to pay 200$.
Let's be honest, I'm not a famous artist, why would someone who already striked you as odd give SO much money as their first offer? Usually it's the other way around, artists asking high price then the client tries to reach a middle ground or something.
They asked if I use PayPal so I share my paypal.me link; for those wo aren't familiar with it, once you make a Paypal account you can share this link to the person you wish, they enter the link, put the amount they want to pay you, press confirm and the transaction is done. Here's a video explaining how it works:
youtube
Then they told me I have to send my email for the payment. This time I didn't reply because I had already saw a scam where — once you send them your email — you receive an email from "Paypal" saying there was a problem and the money the scammer supposedly sent didn't reach your account so they have to send another [insert exact same amount they sent. I'll say 200$] so you have to give them back those extra 200 dollars just to never hear of the money or the client, ending up with 200$ less. You see, the key there is that if the "Paypal" email has @/gmail or @/hotmail instead of paypal.com that's a personal email, not an official company.
Besides, why would I send them a virus if they were who came to me? Believing this was an excuse to get my personal information and avoid delivering the promised payment I ignored them until they messaged me again today insisting on it. Asking them if they tried entering the link they replied this
Anyone who has bought something online before knows they have to use an email account to log in any app to continue with the purchase. Hell, I have shared my address with fanmerch artists for that purpose. How are you going to pay someone refusing to use your paypal, the method you asked them to use? At this point I was sure it was a scammer. I declined their idea, told them to have a nice day and blocked them
If you see this pattern don't waste your time like I did if you smell something is fishy since the first moment (kind of obvious when they say they like your art and they have never interacted with you). My advice is to block once you see any of these 🚩 + insisting that you download another app you don't have for the payment; tell them to share THEIR email to send them an invoice, if they get mad, refuse to share their email or leave you in read then that's it. Trust your instinct when anything gives you bad vibes
#scam warning#scam alert#scammers#Youtube#avoid/block @desmondbro123 if they interact with you for purchase purposes 🙏#idk why I have hidden their username but I already deleted the unedited screenshots so

Notes on Chapters 23 and 24 of AE
Well, it's finally out there. Below will be just me rambling about the chapters, so it might be spoiler-y. I wouldn't recommend reading this post unless you've already read the new chapters.
The songs for chapter 23 were "Little One" and "I Am Kara" from the Detroit: Become Human sountrack. Probably a weird choice, but I was just looking for vibes, and I knew I wanted the songs to instrumental and that I wanted them to have an element of otherworldliness since Emily is such a mysterious character. The pieces just felt pretty beautiful and emotive to me.
As for chapter 24... Finding that Edgar Allan Poe poem was like:
I originally chose it because I thought it would have been one that Bonnie had read and would have resonated with her. It wasn't until I was working on that section of the chapter in particular that it struck me how aptly it summed up both Bonnie and Damon's experiences - especially, and most obviously, Damon's.
The themes of grief and loss and helplessness - the inability to discern illusion from reality - fighting against the natural order of things - trying desperately to retain any semblance of control...
I really feel very fortunate to have picked that poem of all poems.
And finally, I get to talk about "Turning Page" by Sleeping at Last! I feel like this is THE song of the story. I would listen to it a lot while writing - the lyrics are just excruciatingly perfect for Damon, especially now that he has his memories back.
And it further fits into the themes of "A Dream Within a Dream" - much like "Mr. Sandman" by SYML and "To Build a Home" by The Cinematic Orchestra do as well. Now that Damon has finally woken from his long sleep.
So excited to get to share that with you all now. ❤️
I really, really hope you guys enjoyed the update. I love getting to hear from you all. I appreciate every single comment I get. It lets me know if things are working; they really help to inspire me a lot. For a while there, I wasn't getting them because hotmail sucks, but I fixed that issue, so I should get all of your comments now. I apologize if you didn't get a response from me - that was probably why.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

It's the power of pr. I am still baffled by how they created her image. There was so little basis for it, and yet it has lasted for so long\
That's WHY it lasted for so long, she was nobody with basically a clean slate. She was really good at forming herself into what harry wanted her to be. But as her own individual person, it's not a good one. It's why I don't really see them getting divorced. Because shes not a nobody anymore, and if you take how she wants the world to view her, how she truly behaves behind closed doors and then add the lack of funding, its a receipt for disaster. Harry doesn't have the funds to support them both separately and for her rebrand to work she has to have access to large amounts of money for an extended period of time. She doesn't, she has what harry brings in. I'd venture to guess she also fired up her hotmail account to ask for freebies for designers that will certainly come out if she's not longer married to harry.
Meghan, on her own is lost. She adapts to whoever will get her what she wants. It worked for harry, but to repeat that luck without his pockets? damn near impossible.
Good points.

Merc Squad
Merc Squad, Unhellstorm Productions, 2011?
This game vies for the title of "worst TTRPG name ever". I'm sure there are worse ones, but hooo boy this one ain't good. I'm going to put aside the name for now, though, because some of the mechanics are fascinating.
MS revolves around the squad itself. Your team works for a megacorp, executing paramilitary actions for them, like storming a building, defending a stronghold, or boarding a starship. You're not really playing a character per se, you're playing a role within the squad. A role with a personality that you define, but... How about an example. Let's say you're playing The Artillery. If your character dies, you just bring in another one with basically the same stats, because your team needs The Artillery and your employer just replaces you with someone who fits the team. It's the "I'm playing my last character's cousin who looks the exact same as him and has the same skills" trope but as the core of the game loop.
It's a vicious commentary on the way that corporate and paramilitary life treats people as interchangeable cogs in a murder machine. That's especially true since the character you're playing, the team you're part of, the branch of the megacorp that employs you, and the megacorp itself are all on a game-mechanics-designated "good guy to bad guy to good guy" loop, none of which are synched up with one another. You can delay progress on the loop, but you can't hold everything at "good guy" at once, so eventually you either end up as one of the baddies or working for the baddies or both.
You may end up wanting your character to die because they've picked up so many negative character traits, and your next one will at least be new and naive and uncorrupted... so far. Or you might dive into the dark side and come out repentant. It's a game where you have to be willing to see your character change in some pretty specific ways. Not for everyone or every group.
Combat is also squad-based. You're never rolling to hit. (Well, rarely.) Instead you're rolling to add points to your side's victory meter and to force fallout rolls for the other side, hoping that they're more interested in retreating to safety than staying and facing awful consequences. There's some clear influence from Dogs in the Vineyard here.
The setting is pretty bog-standard science-fantasy stuff. Megacorps, energy weapons, combat-oriented magic that they call something else, species where half of them look suspiciously like fantasy races and the other half are wild shit, starships, etc. It's not done badly, but you've seen it before. Steal the mechanics and put them on top of a more interesting setting. And for the name of god, change the name of the game.
Merc Squad (ugh) was self-published on the ebook shop of a now-defunct small press site. You can occasionally find a copy in the now-defunct .bookr format, for which you'll need a Windows 7 machine to run the no-longer-supported Word converter. Unhellstorm is, of course, long gone. If anyone is on the other end of their hotmail account (ha!), they're not answering.

Hi! I apologize for bothering you with this question, but I’m honestly not sure who else I can ask. I’ve been trying to sign up for kyo-online these past few days and I cannot seem to get the registration email. I know they’re having problems with Gmail accounts receiving emails from them, and I only have Gmail accounts, but there is a note that they can make an account for credit card payments if you send them an email with the “necessary information.” I don’t speak or understand enough Japanese and mostly rely on translation apps to skirt by with the information I need - would I be able to contact their support in English? I’m sort of afraid to send an email in English, get no response, and be stuck.
(Also, thank you for the things you share on your blog here. I honestly lurk, but I always look forward to your posts and appreciate the work you put into cleaning up pictures or into edits.)
Hello! Sorry for taking a week to reply. I was trying some email providers and waiting for the email to pop up... In vain. Neither Yahoo nor Protonmail work, let alone Gmail and Hotmail, and iCloud plus whatever other email they list on the mobile sites.
In short, it seems impossible for us (anyone, anywhere?) to sign up on any of the mobile fan sites. I don't see why Japanese fans would have more luck. Only a knot still works, as far as I know, because it uses a different platform?
What I was trying to register for is TheTheDay, by the way.
Does anybody have any tips? There aren't a hundred free email providers we can try... Has anyone had success subscribing an entirely new membership to Die-online, Dir en grey-online, TheTheDay, Kyo-online or sukekiyo-online in the last few months?
Co-yomi channels (Shinya and Toshiya) are different and still functional, right?
(Oh and I very much appreciate your message!)

Meghans Thick; or The Veil by u/Mickleborough
Meghan’s Thick; or, The Veil ‘Call me [Rachel@hotmail](mailto:Rachel@hotmail).’Something struck me about the veil that wore Meghan at ‘this thing, this spectacle [which] is for the world’ (hence her illegal marriage, by the Archbishop of Canterbury 3 days previously*). Hence this post, admittedly with padding.Point 1: The veil (as did the blinding white of the dress) perplexed the late Queen.https://ift.tt/6vwS1Ym Meghan felt like a virgin, touched for the very first time. In any event, ‘What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.’ At 16.5 feet / 5 metres, she certainly did. (In comparison the Princess of Wales‘s veil was fingertip length.)Fun fact: long veils such as Meghan’s are called cathedral veils - but she was married in a chapel attached to a castle, cf the Princess of Wales who actually was married in a cathedral.Point 2: The veil was embroidered with flowers representing the (then) 53 countries of the Commonwealth. Here’s the BS word salad justification:https://ift.tt/hwjo0Wp Meghan went down this route because she knew she’d play a role in the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, a charity launched on 21 April 2018, on the late Queen’s 92nd birthday, focusing on supporting young people who’ve founded organisations to address problems in their communities. The late Queen was patron and Harry President; after the spectacle, I mean wedding, in May 2018, Meghan was appointed vice-president. (Both lasted until February 2021, and showed that they didn’t understand the difference between Empire and Commonwealth: BBC.)But the veil didn’t only celebrate the 53 countries of the Commonwealth, it also incorporated the wintersweet, a flower which grows in front of Nottingham Cottage, ‘so small’ that Oprah said ‘No one would ever believe it!’, and the California poppy. Why include them? Narcissist much?Royal UK site with press release about the wedding ensemble.Point 3: The veil didn’t go with Meghan‘s wedding gown. In my opinion anyway. It’s suggested that a wedding veil pick up a design element (or 2) from the wedding gown. That makes sense.Much has been made about the plainness of Meghan‘s wedding dress - something about being classic, timeless etc etc etc. (We’ll leave ill-fitting, creased, and Casper the Friendly Ghost out of this post.)However, the veil is comparatively elaborate, with hand-embroidered flowers, all different, on the edges. Just a PSA.
If anyone reading this has a Hotmail account you regularly use I would suggest closing it. Both my main accounts were recently hacked and there's no way to recover them/no live support at ALL to get any assistance further than help articles.

Once upon a time, I lost access to a Hotmail account. Their support was useless - they wouldn't help me if I couldn't give them my password, and it was the password that was the problem. I couldn't reset it, they wouldn't reset it, it was a mess.
This wasn't a huge deal, except it was the only point of contact I had with an overseas penpal I made in 1997. Since the email for him was stored in the Hotmail system I couldn't recall what it was, and of course anything he sent me I couldn't access.
It wasn't until roughly 2014 that I did some googling based off his name and rough location, and found a *possible* email address. I reached out, and crossed my fingers. Luckily for me, I found him, and we've been in contact again since.
Yall don't always realize who you'll lose touch with until it's too late.
So a real thing with the dissolution of social networks is the loss of small connections. Funny takes and long threads can be archived, but how do you preserve your bond with a mutual? How do you find each other again? With every platform move we lose small connections with people we appreciated. That’s a sad, involuntary little break-up. Sorry to all the little ghosts I’ve lost over the years. Sorry to all the new ones coming.
